The ISH Ministry
The ISH Ministry is the Instruments of Shining Hope Ministry. This group meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall. This organization specializes in helping those that are struggling with terminal illness. They offer support to both the patient and the family through prayers and encouragement, helping with errands, and financial support when needed. If you would like to become a part of the ISH Ministry, please contact Gregg Tapson at 252-492-2906.
All God’s Children Ministry
The All God’s Children ministry meets the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. This ministry strives to meet the needs of underprivileged children in our community. They have provided food, gas, clothing, and Christmas for those in need. They work diligently to help each individual child and family in need. Please contact Faith Harris at 252-492-4722 if you would like to become a part of All God’s Children Ministry.
Helping Hands Ministry
The Helping Hands Ministry meets the 1st Thursday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. This ministry is a great outreach to our homebound members as well as those in the community. Its members offer help and support to those that are in need. They go on visitation, send cards, make phone calls, and offer prayers and encouragement to make someone’s day brighter. For over 20 years the Celebrate Recovery ministry has been bringing freedom to people across the world. Currently Celebrate Recovery is the discipleship and evangelistic arm of over 17,500 churches in America alone. Tens of thousands of people are now devoted to Christ and growing in freedom from hurts, habits, and hang-ups that this great ministry brings to light. Before 7pm we enjoy snacks and fellowship with other Celebrate Recovery attendees and leaders. We open every meeting with high energy praise and worship music with our live band. From there we share a main session teaching with the entire group which highlights the step and topic of the night. Finally we go into our small groups which is the foundation of our entire program. The groups are separated between men and women and include people from all walks of life. In these groups we encourage each other, share our stories, and build real lasting friendships that we can lean on throughout the week. We end around 9pm. We meet every Thursday in the SHPHC chapel. Please contact Kristin Zimmerman for more information at 252-226-2657.
